After School

After School Program Details

From Dismissal until 5:45 PM each day, After School provides a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and play in a less structured program than that of the school day. Every day of the week students are dismissed from their classrooms into the Commons. Our activity facilitators provide leadership and instruction to foster creativity and provide avenues for self-expression through planned activities.

  • Robotics Club

Led by 7th/8th Grade Math and Science Teacher Kurt Spieles, this year-long program gives Middle School students the opportunity to explore robotics and compete in a regional competition!

In the fall, club members will prepare to compete in the First Lego League Regional Robotics Competition, which is held December. Starting in January, students will guide the direction of the club and determine what they want to explore and build.

The Robotics Club is open to all Middle School students, and will meet after school once a week (day to be determined). Additionally, during the first trimester, there will be a "Robotics Team" elective offered during the Middle School elective blocks on Friday afternoon. This will give the team additional time to prepare for the competition.

The cost to participate is $375. Click here to register!

Please email Kurt Spieles at kspieles@anconaschool.org if you have any questions!
