Most students visit Ancona's garden once a week and often more than that, even in winter. It's the main place where their outdoor learning class happens.
It's also a place for bonfires, parent coffees, hangouts, and quiet contemplation.
Students do much of the work to make the garden grow, from planting the first seeds in spring to raking up autumn leaves. But parent and grandparent volunteers also play essential roles, especially during the summer.
Ancona families can get access to the space on nights and weekends. Reach out to Chris (cweber@anconaschool.org) about how to do this.
